Terri and Alex Cole are the founders of YoYoYogi and the creators of the acclaimed YoYoYogi 200 Hour RYT Teacher Training.
Terri and Alex believe that through this powerful practice, you can discover the depth of your being, the richness of your soul and develop the tools necessary to bring your unique voice to a world that is hungry for leaders in every walk of life.
Yoga has been an integral part of their journey, individually and together in their 34+ years of marriage. Yoga is not only a guiding force in their lives; it is their calling.
The 200 Hour RYT Teacher Training provides them with the opportunity to teach at an intimate level the concepts, philosophies and principles that they believe will enable a person to lead an extraordinary life.
KRISTI COLE, E-RYT 500
Isabel was introduced to Yoga as a child which lay, quite literally as savasana was her favorite pose, the groundwork for her love of Yoga. Throughout life, she continued her practice off and on for years primarily for the physical benefit of asana before discovering the other 7 limbs of yoga. Hungry for more knowledge, she set off on a spiritual quest which eventually led her to YoYoYogi's 200 hour teacher training. She has long been interested in philosophy and mythology and is constantly studying and uncovering bits of knowledge about yoga and beyond. Her passion lies in sharing with her students in hopes that they too can begin to appreciate the vast practice of Yoga.
And share she does. Isabel is one of the founding teachers at YoYoYogi, leading retreats, workshops and special events to expose all of Portland to her down-to-earth, real-life approach to this transformation practice.
GALEN FAIRBANKS, E-RYT 500
Lifelong athlete, Kristi Cole, made her way onto unfamiliar territory eight years ago when she stepped her two calloused feet onto a rubber mat. It was there that she sweated and struggled her way through 60 minutes of what would one day become her life passion.
She soon became addicted to the miraculous physical accomplishments she found through yoga. (Finally loose enough hamstrings allowed her to touch her toes!!) Kristi began to practice everyday, every single day and quickly realized that yoga was not just another competitive sport with a win at the end of the season, no! Yoga had dug its way into her soul and was giving her the tools to move gracefully through every aspect of her life.
So in love with the practice and the immense changes that she was witnessing, Kristi knew it was something that she needed to share with everyone who would listen.
Get ready to go on a personal journey of Yoga Asana and learn about postures on every level and in doing so discover why it's not about the poses and never will be.
TORI GREISING, E-RYT 500
Galen was first introduced to yoga growing up while practicing ballet, piano, and voice and it immediately felt like a natural extension of her interests and studies. She loved the physicality and dance-like movement and caught the yoga bug right away, but found herself busy living abroad, attending college, and working in New York City. Looking for a new way of life, Galen moved to Portland and signed up for YoYoYogi's 200 hour yoga teacher certification course where daily yoga practice and study quickly left her feeling more balanced, secure, and happy. Always a student, Galen has since completed Elevate Yoga Trainings with Jill Knouse and YoYoYogi's 300 hour yoga teacher training. Galen hopes to share all the gifts that yoga has to offer with each of her students whether in class, workshops, or teacher training!
ERIN - E-RYT 200
The practice of yoga asana and mindfulness arrived to Tori as a source of healing during a profound life transition in her early twenties. Since waking up to her path, she has traveled extensively and offered her teachings both nationally and internationally. Her training lineage is with Shiva Rea, Jessica Lazar and the great Prana Vinyasa Tribe. She sits daily with the teaching of Tara Brach, Pema Chodron, Matthieu Ricard, and the wisdom of many world traditions. She finds deep resonance in self study and her own inner guides.
Tori believes in the amazing potential of guiding people into clarity of Self through the Practices - which encompass - yoga asana; pranayama; energetic movement; creative expression; meditation; cultivating compassion, intentionality and gratitude; and living a full spectrum life. Her weekly practices, teacher training lectures and ongoing immersions are powerful and transformational experiences.
Erin started yoga as a teen, practicing with her mom in weekly classes at their local community center. As she competed in different sports growing up, the physical practice of yoga was a welcome change that encouraged a personal and dynamic practice that felt freeing and explorative.
Years later, she was living in Portland, practicing semi-regularly, and decided somewhat spontaneously to sign up for YoYoYogi’s 200hr Teacher Training as a way to deepen her physical practice. However, she was pleasantly surprised and awakened to the deep philosophy and knowledge of yoga that went far beyond the asana. Halfway through the program she decided to commit herself to teaching yoga.
Since then, she has continued to teach and study yoga, and is currently on track to complete her 500hr certification. She loves sharing the transformative qualities of yoga to her students through classes, conversation, and 200hr TT!
