Yoga entered Isabel's life at a very young age but it wasn't until she made a conscious choice to pour herself into the practice that it truly took hold. Five years ago, she completed her 200 RYT certification and just a couple years later acquired her 500 E-RYT.
Isabel views yoga as a platform to practice real life in a safe space. It not only challenges her physically, mentally and emotionally but it provides the tools to navigate those challenges off my mat. Through the practice, she's learned to not take things too seriously; and if you have ever had the opportunity to take part in her inspiring classes, you are well aware of her unique ability to fuse humor into intensity all while empowering the practitioner (YOU!) to rise above the self-doubt and fear.
To paraphrase Tom Waits, Isabel believes the way you do anything is the way you do everything. When you face challenges on your mat, you build the tools to face challenges off of it. It's this balance of hard work, focus, and fun that keeps Isabel coming back to her mat after all these years as well as sharing this perspective with the plethora of students who knock down her door in hopes to receive a glimpse of magical wisdom she shares day in and day out.
Alex's journey with Yoga began 13 years ago when his wife, Terri, introduced him to this humbling practice. After 30+ years of varying degrees of success in a variety of industries, he always found himself wanting for more. Yoga tapped him on the shoulder and he never looked back.
His personal practice led him to teaching and teaching led him to an invitation to immerse himself in the rich and abundant world of yoga that encompass body, mind and soul.
Alex's classes are a combination of physical strength that encourages mental exploration. The fusion lays a foundation for a deeply rewarding adventure into the mystery of you. He believes that the body is a conduit to the mind and spirit, and when embraced and consistently practiced, Yoga can take you on a journey of discovery that is exhilarating and fulfilling.
Alongside Terri, Alex opened YoYoYogi on the simple idea that Yoga is for everybody. Their mission is to bring Mind-Bendin’, Body-Stretchin’, Peace-Providin’ Yoga to anyone that walks through our door.
After a lifelong love affair with competitive sports, Kristi made her way onto unfamiliar territory a decade ago when she stepped her two calloused feet onto a rubber mat. It was there that she sweated and struggled her way through 60 minutes of what would one day become her life passion. She soon became addicted to the miraculous physical accomplishments she found through yoga. (Finally loose enough hamstrings allowed her to touch her toes!!) Kristi began to practice everyday, every single day and quickly realized that yoga was not just another competitive sport with a win at the end of the season. Yoga had dug its way into her soul and was giving her the tools to move gracefully through every aspect of her life. So in love with the practice and the immense changes that she was witnessing, Kristi knew it was something that she needed to share with everyone who would listen.
Kristi's teachings originate from the heart and are punctuated by physical awareness. Her classes help you connect to yourself by asking you to become increasingly aware of how you move, how you breathe and how you speak to yourself to bring out the harmony that exists within each of us.

Terri Cole, co-owner of YoYoYogi, fell in love with yoga after dedicating decades to corporate America. Once discovered, is was as if the universe gave her a hug and big shove into the journey of lifetime!
With little knowledge but unbounded curiosity, Terri dove head first into 6 day a week practice and, after 3+ years of dedication, enrolled in her first 200 hour Teacher Training. In 2007, Terri began teaching creative, challenging classes as well as giving the gift of yoga to newbies.
Together with her husband Alex, Terri opened YoYoYogi in 2010! Terri now focuses on the future vision and growth of YoYoYogi, facilitating Philosophical Workshops, co-leading International Yoga Retreats and leading YoYoYogi’s 200 hour Teacher Trainings.
Terri believes that every student is their own best teacher. She believes that all answers lie inside and that it is our responsibility to get quiet enough to hear “the whisper of our soul”. She believes that is our obligation as humans to share our best selves fully, and give back completely.
Galen was first introduced to yoga growing up while practicing ballet, piano, and voice and it immediately felt like a natural extension of her interests and studies. She loved the physicality and dance-like movement and caught the yoga bug right away but found herself busy living abroad, attending college, and working in New York City. Looking for a new way of life, Galen moved to Portland and signed up for YoYoYogi's 200 hour yoga teacher certification course where daily yoga practice and study quickly left her feeling more balanced, secure, and happy. Always a student, she has since completed Elevate Yoga Trainings, an advanced teacher training with Jill Knouse, and YoYoYogi’s 300 hour yoga certification.
Aligning with her artistic roots, Galen's classes are gracefully crafted and intelligently sequenced, leaving you feeling free and light as well as deeply connected. Galen hopes to share all the gifts that yoga has to offer with each of her students whether in class, workshops, or trainings!
Alesha Hanson has been practicing yoga since 2000 and teaching since 2002. She believes that at our core we are all desire connection, connection to ourselves, each other and the greater world. Yoga takes us there through body, breath and awareness again and again, where we find there is no separation.
Alesha's background is rich in communication, anatomy, physiology, kinesiology and dance. She inspires students to practice from a place of authenticity with respect for individual skeletal structure, muscular strength and flexibility. Her teaching style is slow and soulful woven with inspiration and joy. She holds certifications from YoYoYogi, Yoga Shala, Physical Mind Pilates and is a Usui/Holy Fire Reiki Practicioner. Alesha currently enjoys teaching vinyasa, restorative yoga, Yin yoga and meditation for studio classes, private and corporate clients. Teaching is one of her greatest joys along with deep belly laughs with her family and friends and exploring everything in the natural world.
Ian discovered the practice of Yoga in 2011 while seeking a physical routine to stay in shape for his field work as an Archaeologist in Latin America. His practice quickly grew to incorporate mental and spiritual connotations as well, and in 2013 completed his first Yoga Alliance Teacher Training under Tiffany Maloney in Beaumont, Texas. Ian currently holds a E-RYT 200 certification. His classes are a Vinyasa-based Asana practice that aim to find the connection of Mind, Body and Breath while exploring the joy of being present in motion. Being an avid lover of movement culture, Ian also completed an Acroyoga (a.k.a. The Yoga of Trust) Teacher Training under Daniel Scott in 2016. Ian offers a teaching style that emphasizes the power of human connection with a personal motto: "To show how healing the art of play can be when done through a space of mindful connection."
Roger McKeever is an inspirational teacher, storyteller, adventurer, spiritual activist, and artist. He is known for demonstrating the transformational power of yoga. He is playful, intuitive and grounded; his instruction is challenging yet nurturing. With his passion and natural talents for storytelling, Roger’s classes and workshops are known to cultivate a deep personal experience for those attending. His ability to offer heart warming, as well as humorous narratives, brings a dynamic balance. He enjoys diving deeply into yoga philosophy, mythology and history all the while making the stories relatable and enthralling. Roger leads many continuing education workshops for teachers, and he is part of several yearly Yoga Teacher Trainings and Advanced Trainings where he enjoys fostering the passion of other yoga teachers. He also leads retreats and workshops around the world. As a spiritual activist, Roger guides us to the persistent call from within to make more art and make more love.
Tori is the Director of Continuing Education at YoYoYogi. She came to yoga as a source of healing, during a profound life transition in her early twenties. Her practice and teaching have led to travels across the world; dancing with Shiva Rea and the Prana Vinyasa tribe; and sitting daily in deep self study. She resonates with the amazing potential of leading people into clarity of self and community through the practice of yoga. Tori's practice is daily and has learned from her teachers and through her own experience that yoga is more than the physical representation through asana, it is about living a full spectrum compassionate and grateful life.
Tori is E-RYT 500, YACEP. She has been teaching yoga asana since 2009 and mindfulness based practices since 2011. Her 500hr certification is in the Prana Vinyasa tradition - studying with Shiva Rea, Jessica Lazar, Shawn Parell, Chanel Luck, and Greg Marzullo. She maintains active study with her teachers and the many resources available to the evolving contemporary yoga community. She is a senior teacher at YoYoYogi and works directly with private clients. She provides online teaching through her podcast, This Gentle Way.
Born and raised in England, Anthony Roberts was an active athlete, playing rugby football until a neck injury curtailed his playing career. He then became an active rower, representing the Royal Air Force until a serious back injury and therefore surgery brought a premature end to his rowing. He subsequently moved to Oregon, where he embarked on a personal journey that led him to reach into aspects of health, spirituality and personal growth, which he had neglected for many years.
Through Yoga, he discovered the simple power of breath and movement. His own yoga journey illuminates his classes as he guides students from the heart toward their own unique yoga experience. Tony teaches Restorative and Vinyasa yoga classes and guides iRest Yoga Nidra meditation classes. He is a volunteer teacher with Living Yoga. He also leads classes at the Oregon Air National Guard and participates in Yellow Ribbon events, leading yoga and meditation for active duty service personnel and their families. He teaches iRest Yoga Nidra meditation and is currently a Level 2 iRest teacher in training.
David is many things but it’s music that has always been the epicenter of his life. In Junior High, he picked up the guitar and started spinning vinyl in his early twenties. He’s played and sang lead in garage bands, taught guitar lessons to all ages and has been YoYo’s resident DJ for the past four years. Events such as Vinyasa in the Vineyards, Yo!Rave and Dark Indulgence were conceptualized by David and created his with music-vision at the forefront of planning. Whether he’s writing his own songs, attending concerts of his lifelong favorites or sharing undiscovered music to anyone who will listen, his passion for music seeps out of him like moonbeams filled with joy.
David’s other love is living a healthy life, and this still-gym rat found yoga five years ago. At the beginning, it was a perfect accompaniment to tight, sore muscles; but he soon realized the practice transforms lives and decided he would love to become a teacher. He completed his RYT 200 November 2017. Even before graduation, David was the music-guru for all his cohorts running “how to build a playlist” workshop by demand.
David believes that music is not just an extra; it is way to access people’s souls and help them feel alive.
With over 15 years of clinical experience as a Holistic Chiropractor and Massage Therapist, the body continues to amaze Dr. Maria McNash. She is a passionate advocate for the well being of you (and your pelvis)! Dr. McNash's focus is to help her clients restore balance and ease in their bodies through manual medicine.
